Research Interests:
I am interested in the connection between Higher Segal objects (in the sense of Dyckerhoff, Kapranov), Topological field theories and related aspects of categorified homological algebra. This includes in particular
  • Higher Segal objects: Tft interpretation, State Sum constructions, relation to categorified homological algebra
  • Topological Field Theories: Deriving classical Tfts (e.g derived Turaev-Viro theories), fully extended Tfts
  • Higher Category Theory: Algebra in span categories, Transfer theories,

I coorganized in March 2023 a Workshop on Higher categorical methods in algebra and geometry together with Tobias Dyckerhoff Matthew Habermann and Angus Rush.

Since April 2022 I am organizing the "Pizza Seminar" together with Angus Rush, David Jaklitsch Thomas Stempfhuber and Aaron Hofer.

I am organizing a group live streaming the lecture of Prof. Dr. Denis-Charles Cisinski from Regensburg about Formalization of higher category theory together with Jonas Linssen and Markus Zetto.
We meet every Tuesday from 16:00-18:00 and Thursday from 14:00-16:00 in room 434. If you are interested in joining, you can either contact me by email or just come to one of the lectures.
